Mary Lyn Moore – Instructor
Mary Lyn Moore began her career at Just off Broadway in the Dawn Meyer School of Dance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mary Lyn graduated from Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts where she received specialized training in ballet and modern dance. Mary Lyn held various principal roles in the school’s productions of Giselle as Giselle and Swan Lake as Odette and Odile, while also performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Lucy in Dracula and Titania and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. During her secondary education, she received the Cincinnati Association Overture Award, an award that recognizes, encourages and rewards excellence in the arts within the Greater Cincinnati Area. Mary Lyn has spent many of her summers attending intensive programs with the Houston and Cincinnati Ballet companies.
Mary Lyn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Pedagogy from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. During this time, she trained and performed in a semi-professional touring company in Eastern Europe with the Butler Ballet. She also performed as the Arabian Princess in The Nutcracker, Carbosee in Sleeping Beauty and performed in Patrick de Bana’s world premiere production, Failing Sky, during her time with Butler Ballet.
