Gabriela was born and raised in Shreveport Louisiana where she began dancing at Shreveport Dance Academy at the age of 6 and continued her training there for 12 years. During her time there she studied a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop while also instructing younger students at SDA. Gabi danced with the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet Company for 6 years where she performed in many Nutcrackers, Coppelia, Snow White, the world premieres of The Wizard of Oz and Aladdin as well as many others. She was also a member of SDA’s Competition Team and competed at dance conventions such as Tremaine and Adrenaline Dance.

Gabi moved to Indianapolis in May of 2011 and started teaching at Indy Dance academy later that year. She was an instructor for 4 years before taking some time off while remaining a substitute at IDA. She is excited to come back as an instructor to share her love of dance with her students. Gabi also has a 3 year old daughter, Elena, who began dancing at IDA last year.
