Brittany Bain – Artist in Residence

Originally from Wabash, Indiana, Brittany Bain currently resides in Carmel, where she is a dance instructor and choreographer. Brittany received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Choreography and Performance from Florida State University’s School of Dance, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance from Ball State University. Currently, she is a professor of dance at Anderson University, where she teaches modern, composition, and improvisation. Brittany is also a freelance choreographer in the Indianapolis area; her most recent works have been presented in Flourish: A Modern Dance Showcase at The White Rabbit Cabaret and Motus Dance’s IndyFringe production, CARVE. At Indy Dance Academy, she teaches modern, ballet, and jazz to various age groups, as well as choreographing for the performance company, IDAC; her choreography has received regional and national recognition. Brittany loves watching the IDA dancers’ passion and talent grow year after year and can’t wait to see what the future has in store! Outside of the studio, Brittany loves spending time with her husband, Andy, and golden retriever, Linus.
